Very special note, for clarification of frequently asked question “how to interpret contest theme?”.

In fact, the only advice should be - read the mission statement of UNESCO and be inspired from there. This contest is creative competition for art persons. Art forms are result of free mind. As announced before, five winning images will take a part in UNESCO promo campaign for International Year of Light. Just imagine, what do you want to tell to people across the globe about our light art. This contest theme is deliberately broad in scope to allow you time to think and plan your shots. From a shot taken in your kitchen or on top of Mt. Everest, the image must use light painting to provide emotion, beauty, energy and magic. Your image should be the proof of unbreakable links between life and light. Hope, it help.

Wish to all of light friends good luck on this Contest!

Best regards Sergey
